Speakers: Larry Cooper and Al Jeffries

Al Jeffries and Larry Cooper served as the co-chairs of the Citizens for Better Local Government Committee, which ran the statewide campaign for the Constitutional Amendment creating Broomfield County in 1998. This presentation takes you through the experiences of forming a committee, having divine timing at the Colorado State Legislature and getting approval for the ballot, all within 3 weeks. We will celebrate great volunteers and the benefits of not doing business as normal as we learn about the formation of the first new county in Colorado in 100 years.
